The 100-room Hampton Inn & Suites, built in 2002, is located 7 miles east of Interstate 95 just off U.S. Highway 278 and 15 minutes from the beaches of Hilton Head Island. Adjacent to the upscale Sun City development, the property is located midway between Savannah International Airport and Hilton Head Island and considered part of Hilton Head Island Beaufort Micropolitan Statistical Area. Known for its recent rapid development, Bluffton is currently amongst the fastest growing areas in the state of South Carolina. The region has become very popular with retirees and wealthy families with second or vacation homes due to the cessation of new development allowed on Hilton Head Island itself. The property is located adjacent to a fire department and features great visibility from Highway 278 at its intersection with Okatie Center Boulevard. Previous ownership installed new flat screen televisions throughout the property and the parking lots were resurfaced in August 2011. Additionally, 2 new meeting rooms were created within the past 2 years, increasing the property’s meeting facilities to 1,200 square feet able to accommodate up to 94 guests.
The hotel is only 15 minutes to Hilton Head Island and the beaches. The addition of the Sun City development, which has attracted thousands of new residents into the area in recent years, has played a large part in the area’s growth. Sun City is a 5,600-acre development with gated communities, and feature many amenities such as golf courses, parks, hiking and biking trails, a large sports complex, fitness centers, social halls, and community gardens. Similar communities completed by other builders throughout the region as well as retail and commercial businesses supporting the lifestyle have also been completed in recent years, greatly expanding the population base in the immediate area. The property is located within the confines of the Sun City communities and is surrounded by the new developments. The Hampton Inn & Suites’ location is proximate to the dozens of championship-level golf courses for which the region is world-famous, beaches within the region, restaurants, and area attractions for vacationing families and traveling businessmen and women. The area’s nearly 80 golf courses, many of which are championship-caliber and were designed by some of the nation’s most well known designers including Arnold Palmer and Pete Dye are within easy reach of the property. The RBC Heritage PGA Tournament is held every year the week following the Masters (mid-April) and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to the area. Additionally, there are several amateur-level tournaments and PGA-qualifiers that attract significant amounts of visitors. Palmetto Bluff, an upscale resort and special event facility located approximately 6 miles from the Hampton Inn & Suites is a popular wedding and special gathering destination, attracting tens of thousands of guests every year. Currently, the Hampton Inn & Suites has sold significant room nights during the 2012 season to accommodate guests attending events at Palmetto Bluff. The Hampton Inn & Suites is also located just 20 miles from the Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot (also known as Marine Corps “Boot Camp”), which hosts weekly graduation exercises and attracts more than 120,000 visitors to the region annually.
Hilton Head is just 20 miles north of Savannah, Georgia, and 95 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina. An easy day’s drive for visitors from all over the southeastern United States, Hilton Head has been a family vacation destination favorite for decades. The residents of Hilton Head have taken measures to protect the natural elements of the island and promote “eco-friendly” development by limiting commercial growth, signage and protecting the dense tree cover all over the island. Additionally, as an upscale residential and tourist destination, gated communities make up approximately 70% of the island’s landmass. The island of Hilton Head is known for several annual events and festivals including the RBC Heritage – a PGA Tour event played at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines Plantation, the annual WineFest – the largest outdoor, tented wine tasting on the East Coast, and the Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival that features world-class vintage and antique autos, Italian sports cars and American muscle cars from all over the country.

The Red Roof Inn is located on North University Avenue, just ¼ mile north of its interchange with Interstate 10 and within 2 miles of Interstate 49. The property is a 108-room, two-story, exterior corridor limited service facility built in 1986. Lafayette is located in the heart of Louisiana’s gas and oil exploration and production region and its dense development of oil and gas exploration companies and suppliers. Because of its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico as well as the hundreds of thousands of acres of natural gas exploration fields throughout the region, Lafayette added more than 2,700 new jobs in 2010 in the gas and oil exploration industries alone. Nearly 2,000 oil and gas companies operate within the Energy Corridor, ranging from small businesses to companies with more than 3,000 employees. No other geographic region compares to the percentage of energy workers here, in fact 4% of all energy-related laborers in the U.S. work within the Energy Corridor. The Outer continental Shelf, where a vast majority of the U.S. oil and gas supply is derived, runs along the coast from Texas to Florida, however is most densely developed along the Louisiana coastline. Louisiana’s oil and gas production is heavily dependent upon offshore activities, which makes it the nation’s #1 producer of crude oil and #2 in natural gas production and refining capacity.
